Environmental Resources & Trespass Section
Management Objectives
Environmental assessment and review of applications for the use and disposition if Trust lands and resources.
Coordination of land management and protection activities with other governmental agencies, land users and interest groups.
Implementation of special environmental protection projects.
ER&T Section
The ER&T section has the responsibility for the following programmatic areas:
Trespass Program
Cultural Resources Management Program
Environmental Contamination Prevention and Remediation Program
Dust Abatement and Management Program
Recreational Permitting
Homesite Leasing - Administration of special land use permits for homesites associated with grazing and agricultural leases. These are called dependent homesites.
The ER&T Section is responsible a number of activities including: coordinating signage, OHV trail designation, closures, trespass investigations, archaeological and environmental review of pending applications, processing and administering natural resource related homesites and nearly all public uses of Trust land (recreational permit, SLUP, group permits, etc.). The Section is responsible for responding to Air Quality Dust Violations caused by unpermitted activities.
